The 2025/2026 academic year was amazing and memorable.

It began with mixed feelings because I was teaching an examination class. Many students disliked Physics. I committed to helping them turn Physics from a nightmare into their favourite subject.

Using my CREATEF teaching model, I taught online and face-to-face through PowerPoint presentations, videos, PhET simulations, experiments and practical activities. I invited experts to share their experiences.

We also participated in an IVECA international virtual classroom exchange with students from South Korea and Singapore. For most, it was their first interaction with students in Asia. The experience broadened their perspectives and helped them see their studies differently.

To encourage improvement, I presented certificates to the most improved Physics student and the student who solved the highest number of questions. We transformed fear into confidence.

The results were historic. Of 189 registered students, about 150 attended classes. We recorded 105 passes: 25 A grades, 47 B grades and 33 C grades—the school’s best Physics result in more than a decade.

One student developed HydroGuard AI, which was selected for presentation at the United Nations ECOSOC conference.

I trained 46 students in Arduino, coding, 3D printing, laser printing and career shadowing. I also led nine students to the Pan-African Innovation Bootcamp in Kigali, Rwanda.

To crown the year, I was recognised as one of the best teachers in my school.

In 2026/2027, my restructured lesson notes will reduce note-copying and create more time for discussions, problem-solving and practical learning.
